Nonprofit Technology TodayPeer-to-Peer Fundraising Platform Integrations with Salesforce: What Nonprofits Need to Know by Mark Becker, Founding Partner, Cathexis Partners
These days, many peer-to-peer fundraising platforms integrate directly with Salesforce. Choosing the right peer-to-peer platform for your organization and using it with Salesforce, you can see the entire engagement lifecycle of your constituents. You can see how they interact with your organization and how your organization interacts with them.
We set out to shed light on this topic by creating a guide that provides important considerations and background information to help you choose the right solutions for your nonprofit. If you’re using (or considering using) Salesforce, I encourage you to learn about some of the leading peer-to-peer platforms that integrate with Salesforce. Ask the ExpertQ: What are some key takeaways from last week’s Blackbaud conference, bbcon? A: by Jon Reich, Partner, Cathexis Partners
There’s always so much to do and see at bbcon. I could go on for pages, but here are two key things I learned in the area of peer-to-peer fundraising:
Nonprofits are getting more advanced with constituent outreach in many ways. For example, they’re maximizing the power of Luminate Online’s Engagement Factors feature. Engagement Factors allows you to identify where supporters are in their journey with your organization so you can automate the right next actions such as emailing them a request to attend an event, volunteer, engage in peer-to-peer texting, record a video testimonial, or make a recurring donation.
The world of Blackbaud peer-to-peer platform tools is changing. In early 2019, Blackbaud had four peer-to-peer tools: Kintera Sphere/Friends asking Friends, Everyday Hero, JustGiving, and TeamRaiser. Kintera Sphere was retired in Q1 of 2019. And, at bbcon last week, Blackbaud announced they will no longer be selling Everyday Hero. Going into 2020, JustGiving will be rebranded as “Blackbaud Peer-to-Peer Fundraising™, powered by JustGiving™. TeamRaiser will remain as is. If you would like to learn more about available peer-to-peer option tools, contact Mark Becker at Cathexis Partners.
